Project Overview

Dining and Hospitality Services took their student employees and volunteers to the Roaring Fork River to participate in trash clean up, weed removal, and general maintenance. The Roaring Fork Conservancy's Education and Outreach Coordinator presented to students discussing the watershed boundaries and the trans-basin diversions that take water over to the Front Range and Colorado Springs. Our new buildings in Alpine Village are named after rivers in Colorado, including the dining center Roaring Fork, this trip raised awareness about the namesake and the importance of water conservation.
