Project Overview
The UCCS Dining and Hospitality Services (DHS) department practices sourcing sustainable seafood. To validate the sustainable sourcing practices, DHS underwent a third party audit and obtained certification by the Marine Stewardship Council (MSC). To celebrate their practices, and spread awareness, UCCS DHS hosted the Sea to Shining Sea event on December 1, 2016. Guest Chef, author, and Ted Talk Speaker Barton Seaver attended and taught UCCS about Sustainable Seafood, and hosted a dinner.
