Beehive Initiative
Spring 2017 - Food + Farming Caitlin Parsons, Tori Roybal, Gunner Swope, Austen Hawley, Tanner OsbornProject Overview
Beekeeping is a major component of sustainability, as it contributes to food security, ecological preservation, and will integrate pollination education in the UCCS community. Implementing bee hives at the greenhouse will increase benefit the surrounding vegetation and increase yields of the campus farm while helping to maintain our declining honey bee populations.
