The UCCS Bookstore piloted the use of paper made from bagasse (sugar cane waste) instead of trees. Typically, bagasse is burned, releasing carbon dioxide into the atmosphere. Bagasse paper redirects the waste into fully compostable, recyclable, and biodegradable paper.
