The Office of Student Affairs (OSA) proposed this project to plant two trees in the Lower Plaza during the OSA Earth Day event on April 18th, 2012. Over 20 students, with assistance from UCCS Facilities Outdoor Services, planted two Golden Rain trees. These trees help bring life back to the Lower Plaza where previous plantings had been unsuccessful due to improper drainage and insufficient funding.
