The purpose of this project is to install a Lucid building dashboard system to measure and display energy and water consumption in the new residence halls, Copper and Eldora. Students from housing have often suggested competitions for energy and war conservation to the Office of Sustainability. However, we have never had a good way of measuring consumption or engaging the students. We participated in Campus Conservation Nationals in 2011, but the measurement was not the most accurate and most residents were unaware that the competition was taking place. The Dashboard is a very user friendly, accessible means of providing the tools for students who want to improve the environmental behavior within their buildings.
